Youths benefited from E-Zone’s participation in National Youth Festival

E-zone participated as a key partner in the National Youth Festival 2008 “Tarunner Mela” organized by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and USAID at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) Dhaka on April 1st and 2nd, 2008. This 2-day Festival was organized to promote democratic practices, development, health, civil and human rights. 40 organizations organized different interactive sessions through cultural and creative programs. Other partners in the “Tarunner Mela” 2008 included FEMA, Election Working Group, Management resource and Development Initiative, CCD, National Pulse, AC Neilsen, Democracy Watch,  TAF, Jubo Nagorik Forum,Rupantor and National Democratic Institute.

 


E-Zone Ltd conducted sessions on Career Mapping, Social Interaction Skills, CV writing Skills and Interview Skills. The main objective of the sessions were to provide ideas on how individuals can make sound decisions and map their career, provide learning on the different Social Interacting Skills, how the individual can write a presentable CV comprising all the relevant information and how to handle job interviews, stages for preparing for a job interview and how they can successfully face an interview. The crowd was enthusiastic to know more details of the relevant topics and asked questions on ways for improving their skills.  The sessions were conducted repeatedly so that young audience coming to the festival at different times can see the sessions and benefit from it. Many individuals from different region were interested to know how e-zone can help them develop themselves as it is not within their reach to take different training programs in Dhaka. Almost 300 individuals registered in two days for the sessions and many other audiences follow the session standing outside the pavilion. 

 

In closing ceremony of the youth festival Leaders of key partner organizations thanked the audience for participating in such an awareness creating program and making it successful. The event was a huge success and both young people and organizations benefited immensely from it. There were over a thousand young people from different schools, colleges and universities interacting with each other and other members of different organization. The event also encouraged young people in creating democratic Bangladesh. The Youth festival provided the young people a platform to interact and share their views on empowerment, democracy and development with the different political leaders from different leading parties, businessmen and Board of member of different Chambers, Strategic Thinker and other socially concerned groups of Bangladesh.
